A common,terrestrial skink from the mid-hills of Western Ghats.
Inhabits evergreen,moist deciduous and plantation forest such as rubber plantations,in closed as well as open forests.Diurnal,its diet and reproductive habits are unknown
Known frm Karnataka and Kerala states...

Have you ever seen any 'all gold ants' in Kerala? or all copper ones?
I saw them at Thekaddy and Periyar 8 years ago and stupidly didn't take any pictures. Now people don't believe me.

Thanks, Sachin ...The skink was not in this position when I had started to photograph ..Unlike, other skinks which scurry away at the sight of anyone this fellow just kept moving slowly and I was lucky when he moved neared the plant .. Got a nice composition...
