Orthostheneboea exotica
This is an exotic find, as its name imply. Male Phasmid of Orthostheneboea exotica, very small, around 4 cm and thin. Highly camouflaged among the moss. Close-up pic of the face (Pic #1) shows how spiny he is and the tips of the spines are black in color. Very short metathorax with his signature 4 spines.
Tropical forest especially among mossy trees

Thanks, @Ernst :)
Thanks, @Gilma.
It all depends on how much night walks I get to do when there.
Usually in Philippines & Malaysia, its possible to see between 10-20 species in a night :)
Fantastic!! The way you are finding them now...I am sure it would be 50... : )
Thanks, @Gilma :)
Hope to add at least 10 and possibly up to 50 species from Costa Rica next year :D
