Description:

The White-necked Picathartes or Yellow-headed Rockfowl is one of the world's strangest and rarest birds. Its is endemic to Upper Guinea rainforests of West Africa and nest in colonies in overhanging rocks. These images were taken in a community forest near the village of Bonkro in Ghana where they were rediscovered after being believed to be extinct in this country for many years.
