Description:

This male boat-tailed grackle was spotted bathing in a small pond. Only the males are this iridescent black color. The female would have been brownish. These birds have beautifully shaped long tails (seen in the second picture).

Habitat:

Spotted bathing in a small freshwater pond on a college campus. FL, USA.

Notes:
