African Penguin

Spheniscus demersus

Description:

Adorable African penguins at the Tulsa Zoo. These guys are also called jackass penguins and I think that's great. It may be because their calls sound like donkeys but I'd like to just imagine them slapping ice cream out of children's hands.

Habitat:

Found throughout the coasts of Southern Africa.
