We hope you're well Henk! Congratulations, your Gooden's Nomad Bee has been chosen to illustrate #WorldBeeDay!

"Today is #WorldBeeDay! World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20 to draw attention to the essential role of bees and other pollinating organisms in the preservation of healthy ecosystems. Did you know though that among the 20,000 or so species of wild bees there are some that are considered poor pollinators? The genus Nomada contains over 850 species worldwide, and is one of the largest genera in the family Apidae. It is the largest genus of kleptoparasitic "cuckoo bees", so called because they lay eggs in the nests of hosts and steal the hosts' resources. As they do not collect pollen to feed their offspring they lack pollen-carrying body modifications and are mostly hairless".
