Dromaius novaehollandiae

Description:

Largest bird native to Australia. They are flightless, can reach up to 2m high and can sprint up to 50km/hr.

Notes:

They are common down at Wilsons Prom but I have never seen them in a such a large group before. They caused quite the traffic jam!
