Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Halyomorpha halys

Description:

This little critter was about 2 cm (0.8 inches) long.

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila.

Notes:

Somehow he was trapped in our bathroom all night (note household fluff attached to him). He managed to walk out, then I gave him a lift to the porch. The 3rd photo is just before he took off and flew back to freedom... :-)

ID updated. Can anyone help with the specifics? E.g. could it be a Brown Shield Bug (Dictyotus caenosus)? Or a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug
(Halyomorpha halys)? Thanks!
