Lacterius Imperceptes

Habitat:

The habitat for my mushroom is it was right before the woods started, and it was in the dirt but pine needles and leaves covered it.

Notes:

Field Notes We went outside on Nov 14. We were looking for mushrooms, I found my mushroom right before the forest starts. We found a couple different mushrooms but I picked one, so we found each mushroom in a different place. But the one I am identifying was in the woods. When we went outside it was a sunny day, but the shade from the trees was making the area partly shady. The soil was not very dry but it was not soaking wet either. It was a little bit windy. It was flat land were I found my mushroom. It was on the dirt and coverd in grasses and pine needle. My mushroom characteristics are that the stalk is white, and the cap is white-brown, and the stalk is white. The location details it was in the grass not on the dirt.It did not smell, it kind of smelt like dirt. There was not other mushrooms nearby, and the cap on my mushroom was dry but under neath it was slimy. The mushroom had maggots coming out of it after being inside for a couple of days.
