Silver Maple

Acer saccharinum

Description:

I found this tree in my backyard. This tree has thousands of green leaves on it. The leaves have branching veins, and the leaf is lobed, so I found that it was a maple tree. Then I looked at all the different kinds of maple trees, and found out it was a silver maple because it was the only tree that fitted all of my descriptions.

Habitat:

Silver Maple trees are very popular trees in the U.S. and also grow in some parts of Canada.
