Insect Pupa

Description:

A flying insect in a pupa form. About 9mm in length. The insect looks like it is going to emerge soon because I can see little details clearly - eyes, antennas, body segments and wings. It is either a Lepidoptera or a Diptera. It's more likely a small moth because their caterpillars make themselves silk sacs like those of a spider's on leaves. (Usually thin long parallel-veined leaves)

Habitat:

Monocotyledons plants of Kinabalu National Park, Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia.
