Red Wattled Lapwing

Vanellus indicus

Description:

There are many of these birds in my Institute and I am lucky to see them everyday. These birds as I have noticed are of two kinds. One with Yellow beak and another with Red beak. Both look very similar otherwise.

Habitat:

They love to live on the open grass lawns and feeding there itself. They are scarcely found on a tree. Grassland near a water body is their favorite spot.
