A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Copidocephala guttata
We were watching a movie at night when we noticed a big red insect close to the light bulb. When I went to take a closer look, I was surprised about how beautiful this creature is and took some pictures. We don't know what it is so we're hoping someone here can help us to identify!
Congratulations on the nomination for SOTW, PieterColpaert.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
What a beauty! Please consider adding to the global mission, The Hoppers: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8096...
