Description:

A white Hairstreak of the Family Lycaenidae, with fine black lines on the underside, hence the name Fine-Lined Stripe Streak. The tip of the underwings is orange with a black spot and 4 delicate black tails tipped in white. The common name in Spanish is very appropriate: "Mariposa de Alas de Telaraña" meaning Butterfly with Spider Web Wings. The upper side is blue (or partly blue) and black. For the upper side see: https://www.naturalista.mx/observations/.... This butterfly is native to Mexico, with a distribution from southern Mexico through Central America.

Habitat:

On roadside bushes, Km. 11.5, Highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas y Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico.
