Description:

A flowering plant species that is native throughout tropical Africa, from Sudan south to Mozambique, west to Côte d'Ivoire and southwest to Angola. Now common in the tropics and a popular houseplant.

Habitat:

Growing in a semi-urban yard and garden in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.

Notes:

Sometimes listed (incorrectly?) as Dracaena fragratissima.
