Eurasian Coot

Description:

A largish dark grey/black bird with webbed feet, has a white forehead and beak. I only know the name of it because I saw it on a sign in the park I was walking in. I even saw one on it's nest, so exciting!

Nice noise of walking on the water and splashing it. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

I don't recall a noise, I just was startled by the feet. Had to get a photo! :) Thanks for the comment.

Lovely shot, nice to see those legs. I had seen them recently but they were very shy. Dozens used to start running away from the boat at one time. They made a nice noise.
