Wasp Mantidfly

Climaciella brunnea

Description:

An insect that strongly resembles the paper wasp Polistes instabilis. but it has front legs that resemble those of a praying mantis. It's in fact a Batesian mimic of those wasps and is protected by the fact that most animals won't touch the paper wasps it so closely resembles.

Habitat:

On the leaves of a tree.
