Peucetia viridans
Bright, lime-green spider with conspicuous spines on legs. Female is bright green, while the smaller male has a white cephalothorax with 2 parallel dark lines running towards the abdomen. The male's abdomen is white with darker pattern. Both sexes have the characteristic leg spines.
Lynx spiders are found on green shrubbery and plants, generally within 2 meters of ground level.
Lynx spiders feed on a variety of insects, and have been used for pest control in fields and gardens. Bites to humans are rare, and the venom of the Lynx spider is not considered to be of medical significance.

Wow!! What a beautiful spider! I have had a longtime fear of spiders since I was a small child and as an adult I have become fascinated by their amazing beauty and skill!
