Ardea alba
The Great Egret is a large, white bird of the egret/heron type with a yellow bill and black legs. This one was perched in a pine tree after being surprised by a (leashed) dog heading out for a walk.
Spotted near a bayou in the US tropical south, gulf coast FL.
