Collinsia verna
This plant is rare in Indiana - it grows in damp, open woods esp. along river banks. It has five lobes to its corolla (petals), 2 up and 3 down. The third (middle) petal is folded, and difficult to see. The upper portion of the corolla is white, the lower is a sky blue. This plant grows from 6"-18".
It is a plant of valley bottoms and moist bottom slopes, in areas of moderate light; it is not a shade lover.
