Description:

These were commonly seen throughout the Yucatan & may be Yucatan Wild Petunia (Ruellia yucatana) or Mexican petunia (Ruellia angustifolia). Native to: Mexico. Attracts: Bees, butterflies, birds and is resistant to deer.

Habitat:

Most habitats. The Mexican petunia is becoming invasive in the southern U.S. Light: Partial Shade. Water: Average.
