Yeah I also think its Cape Periwinkle- Catharanthus roseus

The leaves definitely look just like that of periwinkle. And also Impatiens wallerana is a balsam and the flowers in this photo does not look like that of balsam [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impatiens_w...... ] , So I also think that it is Periwinkle and not Impatience.

This looks like a Catharanthus flower to me, and especially the leaves which have a prominent light-colored midrib, are ovoid and shiny and have a non-serrated edge. Impatiens leaves seem to be pointed and serrated. http://www.alabamaplants.com/Pinkopp/Cat...

Good Photography.
I have seen a lot Periwinkles but never heard of Impatiens, such great resemblance is really cool and amazing .

From what I've read, impatiens are great shade flowers and periwinkles/vincas are sunny area flowers. They do resemble each other and are both annuals.
