Description:

1 centimeter long. The markings are variable among individuals, but often includes a dark strip down the back, with paler areas on the sides with spots. Color can range from blue to red.

Habitat:

Field: Goldenrod and Boneset flowers

Notes:

This stink bug feeds on the larvae of beetles, moths, and butterflies. It's one of the prettiest stink bugs around, and its other color forms can be even more stunning. Spotted at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
