Description:

There are two woodpeckers in the first two pictures. The other is in the bottom of the tree trunk in this picture, vertical. The bottom one is very focused on pecking out the hole. He can get his entire body in the cavity except for a tiny bit of his tail. The second one is in profile, facing right in pic 1, dove bombing in picture 2. Picture 3 is where the second bird few to under more cover of the evergreen pines. Pic 4, 5, are the 1st woodpecker hard at work. Pic 6 is the woodpecker almost all the way in the hole he's dug. It could be a she.
