Western Diamondback Rattlesnake

Crotalus atrox

Description:

This individual was pink and very beautiful!

Habitat:

On the side of the road in desert flats. I had actually gotten out of the truck to get a small snake on the road, and had walked past this guy 3 times without seeing him. I guess he wanted some attention or something, because he started rattling very loud when I was at the truck getting my camera to take photos of the other snake from the road. Glad he rattled at me so I could see this beautiful guy!
