Description:

This species is found in shallow reef environments, especially where protected from strong wave action, including vertical walls and beneath overhangs. It's been found, however, as deep as 40m. The maximum size is 30cm across.

Habitat:

This species is found in the southwest and central Indian Ocean, the central Indo-Pacific, and the West Philippine Sea.
