Bombus sp.
This bumble bee was one one of few insects still active on a cool autumn day. The flower is a Devil's-bit Scabious (Succisa pratensis). These flowers were among the last ones still in bloom in the area of spotting and played host to several species of bumble bees.
Damp meadow on forest edge, alt. 1400m ASL.
Help with species ID appreciated.
