Pyramidal orchid

Anacamptis pyramidalis

Description:

Some 50cm high, with erect stem and group of basal leaves. Leaves on stem are long and narrow, visible but hardly. Inflorescence compact, some 7-8 cm high, with tiny (less than 1cm in diametre) pink flowers.

Habitat:

On a bancs of the lake, in the shadow of trees bordering the lake. Alpine environment, base of Jura mountain range.
