I understand fully about the link - I hadn't fully appreciated that you were linking to your own observations which is great. Maybe you could also add a couple of lines to the description as well as the link!

Hi KarenL, Thanks for the tip, I'd prefer to add the link in the description. Looks like the References are used to reference the Taxon (for example a general page on the species surfbird) more than the observation (my particular sighting of this surfbird). Project Noah is such a great website!

You have a very nice collection of spottings, but I note that you are adding a link to information about each species in the notes section. Please can you add information here instead (cut & paste from other sources is perfectly permissible) & then add your link in the Reference box on the right. That way other users can find out about the species without having to open the link.
