Fabriogenia sp. (wasp) with Badumna insignis (spider)
The wasp was about 2.5cm long with yellow antennae which it wiggled at a rapid rate -seen as a yellow blur in pictures. They are very active wasp constantly searching trees and walls for prey.
Open forests, gardens with trees
This very active wasp was "clutching" on to a dead house spider and was part climbing, part flying up a wall. The spider was the same length as the wasp but perhaps heavier. The wasp made several unsuccessful attempts to go up the wall with the spider. He finally dropped him (pic # 1,2 & 4) and flew away. Pic #5 shows the abandoned prey.
