American Alligator

Alligator mississippiensis

Description:

In the Everglades, alligators are a common sighting. It's not everyday, however, that you get to see a giant bull alligator showing off his recent kill. This time it was a much smaller gator that invaded the bull's territory.

Habitat:

The Everglades

Notes:

The large gator was measured with computer software with a result of 12' 4".

Wow, fantastic series. The bull calls to mind Deinosuchus. :-)
