Barn swallow

Hirundo rustica

Description:

Well known and probably the most widespread swallow in the world. Black with bluish sheen above, and white below with black large stripe across the chest, and rusty red face.

Habitat:

Observed on the nest under the roof of an ex-barn in urban setting of Cavtat - a small touristic town on Dubrovnik riviera; mediterranean (Adriatic sea) coast environment.
