It´s de most protect birds in the Iberian peninsula.

Habitat:

It live in general in a mediterranean forest but also you can watch in other forests with many rabbits because is the 90% of your food.

Notes:

This photo was taking a day when I was trying watch the Spanish Linx in Sierra morena in Andalucia (Spain). This zone is impressive. I recommend you visit this place.

The Spanish imperial eagle is classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List 2006

yes is a vulture, they were flying in a thermal power, also It were flying with them a black vulture

The one at the left is a griffon vulture, Gyps fulvus (buitre leonado), isnt'it?

Another great place to visit, Alvaro. We went also to "see" the Spanish Linx (we knew it was very difficult ) and we saw this majestic eagle.
We took a picture in Monfragüe of a fight between a Spanish Imperial Eagle and a Black Vulture, we know it is not a good picture, but the moment was stunning.
