Purple Sunflower Seeds

Description:

One of my sunflowers had purple/white seeds instead of black/white. compare with my other Sunflower Seeds spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/714...

Habitat:

Urban house flower garden.

Notes:

The head of a sunflower is formed into two opposite sets of spirals, 21 spirals going in one direction and 34 going in the other. These are consecutive numbers in the Fibonacci sequence.

@keithp2012--all of the sunflowers I planted looked normal and had black and white seeds, so the purple seeds did not produce a special plant.

Oh ok, if you manage to get any more please keep me in mind I am an avid gardener and this is rare to find seeds like this, let us know if they sprout and become healthy plants.

@keithp2012: I did not dry the flower head properly and it got moldy...I only managed to save a few seeds that I am going to plant them this year.
