Sara -- If by "breed" you mean "species," I'm about 99.99999% positive this is a peninsula cooter hatchling, Pseudemys peninsularis -- just as Neil suggested. I leave myself .00001% chance of being wrong because I am, after all, merely a mortal. But seriously, that's Pseudemys peninsularis is through and through. (Map turtle carapaces are quite different, especially along the posterior. The third photograph is most revealing.)
does anybody know for sure what breed because i have a turtle that i am trying to figure out what species it is.......
I agree with Neil. I'm pretty sure this is a itty bitty cutie pattooti peninsula cooter, not a map turtle.
What a cute little turtle! I think this is a hatchling Peninsular Cooter, Pseudemys peninsularis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_coo...). Great pictures.
