Description:

This poor spider was parasitized by a larva of a Polysphincta wasp. Polysphincta is a species belonging to the family Ichneumonidae, subfamily Pimplinae. The adults grow up to 8–11 millimetres (0.31–0.43 in) long. This wasp parasitize exclusively adults of spiders (Araneidae species, Thomisidae species, etc.).
