Description:

As the name suggests, this species has distinctive black eyes as well as a black spot on the first dorsal fin. Ground color can vary from creamy white to dark purple brown. To 15 cm total length.

Habitat:

In shallow water, on sand adjacent to rocky areas.

Notes:

Caught incidentally while angling near rocky outcrops close to shore; released unharmed. 12 cm TL
