Spotting

Description:

Boletes are making a huge appearance this year on account of all the rain we've had recently. I have been able to identify a few, but this large mushroom is not in my field guide. It isn't slimy at all and has a smooth cap. The pores underneath are a sort of purplish color. It changes to a sort of brown color when bruised.

Habitat:

Found on the outskirts of a grouping of oak trees.
