Deer Grazing

Notes:

The bark on this tree has clearly been eaten by deer. Sadly, the tree has also been girdled so it will likely perish.

Shame. Sounds like the parks dept. need to go back to school! If it's not considered safe as a monolith, would they lie it down & let it decompose or would it actually be taken away?

Good point, Craig! It is along a public trail though so my assumption is that the parks department will be quick to remove it.

Don't be too sad Mikita, dead trees are a wonderful habitat for lots of organisms that don't like to live any other place else! As long as someone doesn't go and tidy it up, it still a beautiful thing.
