Description:

Medium tree to 20 m high, with rounded crown. White flowers 12 mm wide, hermaphrodite, in groups of 75-100, in hanging clusters of up to 30 cm long. Seed (nutl) surrounded by a hard shell that remains green until maturity when it only opens partially

Habitat:

native of eastern Australia. Now cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions

Notes:

when the seed is ripe has an oil content of 50-80% (the seed of the photo is from a cultivated tree)

my father brought me the macadamia nut from friends
I think they have some trees in their crops
and yes! I tried to open one but is soooooooooooooo hard!!!
