Bushtit nest

Description:

Hanging nest about 25cm tall from last season. It appears to be made of lichen, plant parts (leaves & vines), feathers and other material.

Habitat:

Hanging in an Oak tree along trail at Daley Ranch

Thank you for the suggestion, apeachg. I have yet to see a Verdin in the area. We do have Bushtits that Hemma mentioned. Their nests seem quite similar.

It's a Verdin nest! :)

Looks like a bushtits nest with the lower part torn off.

Bird nest u think? Also, I posted pictures of an arachnid that looks pretty good, not sure of the species yet. Wondering what your input is. It may be the one with no thumbnail.
