Rhinesomus triqueter
Photo take at -40 ft in a Caribbean reef. The trunkfish belongs to a family of fish known as boxfish. Their bodies are hard and hexagonal shaped. Modified scales are formed into plates which act as body armor. The tip of the snout and the area round the pectoral fins are dark with few spots and the eyes are black.
It is found on and near reefs from Florida to the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico to the north of Brazil.
