Pleurobranchus forskalii
Like nudibranchs, pleurobranchs are mollusks without shells. They feed on ascidians, sponges and sea anemones. This pleurobranch varies in color from place to place, and grows to about 30cm in length.
Found singly or in pairs in shallow waters of lagoons, reef crests, pools and sea grass beds, at depths of 0 to 30m. Widespread in the Indo-West Pacific region.
Spotted this pleurobranch on a jetty, less than a meter deep, during a night dive. It was about 15cm long.
