Orchid found in high altitude cloud forest, Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve, Ecuador.
There is a strong similarity between some Lycaste and Maxillaria species but this is a definitely a Maxillaria. The markings on the throat of this species seem to be variable but if these two images, which match your spot rather well are accurately identified.....

I'd say prolly a Lycaste or Maxillaria genus.... They both have a species that look alike
