Black Buzzards (Vultures)

Coragyps atratus

Description:

Today was a very overcast day and may have even been raining when I took these pics. These guys had been feasting on a deer carcass and a red shouldered hawk came and they fled from the meal leaving him to it. I found them sulking in the trees until the hawk had his fill.

Thank you Mitch! They serve a valuable purpose and are not a bird that is, as you said, appreciated.
