Austral Ellipsidion Cockroach

Ellipsidion australe

Notes:

A native Australian cockroach, seen in our backyard. I think this is a female carrying an egg-sac.

We have so many pretty cockroaches... They get such a bad rap due to their introduced cousins :(

Hahaha, I know... it fell out of a bucket or something I picked up in the yard and I shrieked and went, "Arrgh, a cockroach!" And then I went, 'hang on a sec, it's really pretty' and grabbed my camera!
