Zebra

Equus Quagga Antiquorum

Description:

A muscular horse with relatively short neck and sturdy legs. The stripes are subject to much regional and individual variation. Patterns are better illustrated than described.

Habitat:

Grasslands, steppes, savannahs and woodlands. These zebras are totally dependent on frequent drinking. They prefer firm ground underfoot so may move off sumplands in the wet season or during flooding.
