Fiery-necked Nightjar

Caprimulgus pectoralis

Description:

The Fiery-necked Nightjar is more often heard than seen, it has a beautiful nocturnal song that is evocative of African nights! I was fortunate to find this approachable individual at night in Phinda Game Reserve in Zululand, South Africa.
