Nemoria sp.

Description:

Green moth, about 50 mm wide ( 2 inches), in a oak and pine forest. In the second picture, the moth is all green with no brown spots in the middle.

I still would go with Nemoria sp. unless we are sure it is really Lixaria.

I am not sure if Lixaria is found in Mexico. According to funet and MPG not.

From the form of the hindwings it is not Hemithea, which is more "triangular". I think it is a Nemoria species, Nemoria bistriaria looks similar, but Nemoria is a tricky genus with several very similar ones.
