Hydnophora rigida

Description:

Colonies are composed of irregular, usually flattened branches with or without encrusting bases. Main branches are 7-12 millimetres thick. Colonies are usually cream- or green-colored.

Habitat:

Shallow reef environments, especially lagoons and protected reef slopes.

Notes:

A type of hard coral whose colony forms branches. Spotted this at around 20m.
